Daikin heating days an overwhelming success
Daikin Europe N.V. (12/10/2009)
More than 300 installers, developers and consultants get firsthand look at Daikin's new residential heating products in real life conditions
Daikin Europe N.V. held its first Heating Days on 30 September, 1 October and 2 October. The single-day event took place on three separate days to accommodate the more than 300 participants from Europe and the U.S. consisting of installers, developers and consultants. The highlight for many was an exclusive visit to Daikin’s test rooms where Daikin heating products are operated in extreme ambient conditions.
Accent on heating
This was the first time Daikin Europe N.V. dedicated a day to a single growth pillar, namely heating. It began with an introduction to Daikin heating products and what present market tendencies mean for the future of heating. The many benefits of Daikin heating were treated – high efficiency, reduced CO2 emissions and lower environmental impact – as was the pre-sales and after sales support offered by Daikin to ensure smooth installation. This included an overview of pre-sales tools to optimally select and dimension a system based on customer specs.
Seeing is believing
In the afternoon, smaller groups were formed for a discovery tour that began at the Daikin Europe plant in Ostend. This included a view of the production facilities for the new heating lines and – what for many was the highlight of the event – an exclusive visit to Daikin’s test rooms. Here Daikin’s heating products are operated in extreme conditions, including ambient temperatures down to -20° and high humidity. Participants were suitably impressed to see the new Daikin systems operating efficiently in these extreme conditions. The discovery tour also included Daikin House, a real life residential environment in which the latest Daikin products are showcased in actual living conditions.
In the evening, the groups were given another discovery tour, this time of the picturesque city of Bruges, including historic sites and restaurants.
Overwhelming response
In reflecting on the event, Anthony Dimou, Department Manager, Daikin Europe N.V. New Business Department, was enthusiastic. “We were overwhelmed by the level of active participation by those attending, and their enthusiasm for what they saw, especially seeing Daikin heating products performing under extreme conditions. This event is definitely worth repeating.”
